Lawyer appointed to represent Benoit Atchom-Makoma in an application for leave to take collective action against the Attorney General of Quebec, the City of Quebec and the City of Montreal on the grounds that since 2015, the state has been in violation of the the fundamental rights of its citizens by failing to take the necessary steps to allow any detainee to be brought before a judge within 24 hours.
