During her studies, Me Guitard was recruited by a large Montreal law firm to work as a student, an articling student and later as a lawyer practicing in civil and commercial litigation as well as intellectual property. Early in her career, Me Guitard also worked in a major national law firm in Montreal where she practiced business law.

Being from Outaouais, Me Guitard decided in 2011 to return to settle in the region. She practiced on her own for a few years in civil litigation and family law. She joined the Décarie Harvey Lawyers & Notaries team in 2015 in order to expand the scope and quality of services that she could offer her clients.

During her career, Me Guitard has had the opportunity to represent many individuals and small businesses in addition to being involved in major cases, both in litigation and in business law. She was involved in the litigation of several shareholders conflicts and has participated in a number of business transactions of both small and large scale.

With this varied experience, Me Guitard is able to analyze the many challenges of a file and to advise her clients on shareholder relationships and legal management of the company. Her experience also allows her to look for creative solutions and draft tailored commercial agreements to meet the specific needs of each client.

In her litigation files, Me Guitard considers it essential to explore the possibilities of reaching a settlement and always favors an agreement when it is the most appropriate solution for a client.

Having a keen interest in intellectual property, Me Guitard followed training on trademarks with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada offered in collaboration with McGill University.

Me Guitard is perfectly bilingual.
